Pidgin - Ожидание сетевого соединения

Если связь устанавливается не через NetworkManager, а например через скрипт(gprs), то Pidgin не будет соединяться ожидая сеть, поэтому необходимо его запускать с ключом -f
-f, --force-online
Try to be online even if the network is reported (by Windows, or
NetworkManager on Linux) to be unavailable.

Установить требуемые параметры в "Средства"->"Конфиденциальность"

 spam. It allows you to ignore IMs unless the sender is in your Buddy List,
 the sender is in your Allow List, or the sender correctly answers a

 pidgin plugin for enhanced privacy
 pidgin privacy please is a pidgin plugin to stop spammers from annoying
 you. You can block messages from certain users, block messages from people
 who are not on your contact list and suppress repeated authorization
 requests. Optionally, senders of blocked messages can be notified with an
 auto-reply.

Кодировка ICQ в Pidgin

Для приема сообщений icq в правильной кодировке, необходимо в "Свойствах учетной записи" (меню "Уч.записи") на вкладке "Дополнительно" установить кодировку CP1251 или WINDOWS-1251.
